On Monday, Shepherds Down School were lucky enough to have a visit from a vet and a Therapy Dog named Jessie (owned by one of our SD staff!) All the different classes had different slots in the hall for their visit to learn a little bit more about our four-legged friends and how to take care of them. Apologies in advance if you have all had requests for pet dogs this week.

The children had the option to stroke the dog – and also had the choice of giving Jessie a hard dog treat or licking some cream cheese off the children’s hands – lots of children chose the latter and were very good at tolerating the wet textures!
